28+50MHz 2 elements beam

Two elements 10m + 6m one 50 Ohm feed point designed by DK7ZB.

The antenna consists of traditional Moxon for 10m band and 2 el. open-sleeve yagi for 6m band placed on the one boom 1,5m long. The antenna is 2/3 the size of a full-dimensional yagi for a 10m band.

Antenna characteristic

Gain 10 m = 4,0 dBd

F/B = 30 dB

Gain 6 m = 4,3 dBd

F/B = 11 dB

I had to adapt 11 and 12 parts because of the lack of possibility to order 3m alu tubing (the required total length for pt 11 is 283,8cm and for pt 12 is 296,4cm).
I decided to use a central tube with a larger diameter to put extensions with a smaller diameter inside the center part. I’ve used 14×1,5mm 30cm long center parts and 10×1 mm extensions. The extensions are placed keeping the designed total length inside the center part and blocked with clamps.

All antenna rf parts (reflectors and radiators) are isolated from the boom and mounted with hydraulic hose brackets.

I have used Cu fittings to connect the parts at the corners of the antenna.

Balun is a simple 1:1 choking balun 3+3 windings on FT140-43.

The antenna was placed on the telescopic military mast pointing East.
